I'd like to spend the next few blog posts breaking down a few pop songs part by part and talking about how the structure lines up with Bedroom Studio Magic's theory on the subject.
What I'll do is pick out a few songs, probably 3 or so, and discuss what each part of the song would be called, by the BSM model, and how that part fits into the overall structure of the song.
I'll try to pick at least 1 song from the Little Cricket discography, 1 well-known pop song, and maybe 1 song from another Bedroom Studio Magic artist, like Checking or MC Magic Carpet. I'm not sure, yet, but we'll see.
This blog post is really just a heads up to let you know that I plan to follow up on what I talked about previously and try to give you real-world examples of how the pop song parts I have discussed (verse, chorus, bridge, etc.) can be applied to existing music. Keep an eye out, and enjoy!
